Deposit Accounts

Definition

This account allows you to deposit a specific amount for a specific period and with a specific interest, and it is possible to issue an account statement for deposit accounts according to the terms and conditions of the bank, mentioning that this account is opened for adults and minors under guardianship, custody, fiduciary, or trusteeship by the mother.

Conditions

• The minimum amount for opening the account is 2,000 dinars or its equivalent in the other main currencies.
• The possibility of depositing and adding to the deposit account, or the partial or total withdrawal from the deposit account before the maturity date is determined by the deposit product type.
• The term deposit account becomes dormant if no withdrawal or deposit has been made using the account except for automatic transactions (such as interest and commission transactions) after 5 years since the last withdrawal or deposit of a financial transaction.
• The dormant account is activated in the presence of the customer or whoever is authorized to manage the account under a judicial power, so that he makes a financial transaction on the account, whether it is a withdrawal or a deposit.

Required Documents

• Documents required to open a savings account, including Personal identification document, or valid passport, and electricity or water bill to prove residence (if available).
• In the case of holding an existing current account, no additional documents are required.
